Behind the Lens
Our mission is to create and capture memories that our couples and families will cherish for a lifetime. We strive to create photos that are genuine, timeless, and beautiful. Beyond photos, our goal is to build a relationship with the people we work with. Nothing is more important to us, than the friendships we have with our couples.
One of the things Bronte and I hope to do one day is invite all of our past couples to our wedding! We love our couples and nothing would make us happier than to have everyone there for our big day.
Get To Know Us
If you are looking for us, you can typically find us hiking in the mountains, surfing at the beach, free diving through lava tubes, or shooting an incredible wedding. We are always looking for our next travel adventure!
The past three years that we have been together has been one huge adventure! The benefit of having a ___ is that we always have a travel companion who is always up for anything. We spend a lot of time hopping from island to island. Oahu to Maui and back is our most popular route! Each island is unique and holds so many beautiful sites that we love to document. One of the reasons why we love to travel so much is because of the new people we meet and the connections we make. Many people may think our adventures are crazy but freediving with sharks, hiking ridge lines, and surfing big waves is what makes up a lot of our lifestyle. We are always looking for a fun time, especially with our positive and energetic personalities.
Although capturing moments that will last an entire lifetime and *capturing* the beauty of Hawaii is something that makes our job so wonderful- creating new long lasting relationships with our clients is what we really love.
Reis was born and raised on the island of Maui. Photography first became a passion of mine after grabbing a gopro and take photos while surfing. Reis grew up in the ocean, so it was only natural that he found his passion for photography in the Ocean. Quickly Reis moved away from gopros and began experimenting with DSLR cameras. About 5 years Later, Capturing Hawaii Photography has become what it is today.
Similar to Reis, I grew up at the beach and in the ocean since I was a baby. Living in New Jersey for 18 years of my life made me appreciate the ocean so much more since we only had about 2-3 months of summer time; the other 9 months was spent either exploring New York City or playing in the snow. My sense of adventure urged me to apply to University of Hawai’i at Manoa on the island of Oahu and begin a new chapter of my life. About two days after moving into my dorm room and talking with my family on the phone about how much I missed them, I met Reis.
When I first met Reis I felt comforted and a little less homesick when we were together. We explored the island and he showed me so many new and exciting things. That is when I realized I had a passion for photography! We began shooting surf and landscapes together which I appreciated so much. Soon after I started photographing portraits, which then led to weddings. I absolutely love weddings (probably because I was the flower girl for 7 of them when I was younger)!
Other than photography, I love to surf, hike, and travel whenever I have the opportunity! I am a complete animal lover of all kinds. My family is the most important thing to me, especially having three significantly younger siblings which is the reason why I love kids so much!
Anyway, I would love the opportunity to meet you and hear about yourself!
