With Sheryl's contagious laugh and Scott's charming smile, they are truly a power couple! Throughout the evening we sailed passed the lush West Maui Mountains into the sunset, all while jamming to the infamous Marty Dread! At this moment we were hit with a common wave of realization that this is why we love being wedding photographers!
Moana and Julian Engagement session
Remember our wedding contest giveaway we did earlier this year? Moana and Julian were the winners of our wedding giveaway! We are so excited and honored to be a part of their upcoming wedding!
This beautiful couple must have been born for each other because the way they looked at each other made us fall in love! During Moana + Julian's engagement session we learned they were both professional dancers. Living in Hawaii, dancing is very important to Polynesian culture.
Julian is a professional fire dancer, how cool is that? In addition to fire dancing, he also just competed in the Merrie Monarch festival that happened earlier this month. We were honored to have their beautiful son, Jeaven join us on the shoot. Jeaven was, of course, a natural and so cute! We are so excited to be able to photograph Moana & Julian's wedding in just a few weeks!

Leila and Kainoa, beach lovers like us, decided to shoot their engagement photos at Sugar Beach, Maui. Although sunrise sessions are beautiful they are early mornings! We were lucky enough shoot with an adventurous couple like Leila and Kainoa who were excited to arrive at 6:30am. It was freezing, probably in the high 60’s with some wind-chill. If you are from Hawaii, you know that is pretty darn cold!
They must have woken up around 5:30am because they even had time to stop at Krispy Kreme before showing up! How thoughtful is that, just what two people normally stranded on Oahu need.
Although we didn’t get the sunrise that we were hoping for, it was still a beautiful morning. The beach was nearly empty and offered a perfect backdrop for their engagement photos. With every session, it seems as if we find something unique. While we were strolling down the beach we found a beautiful sandy path lined with native green shrubs which was a perfect location.
Our session was full of laughter and good conversation. As you can see in the photos, Leila and Kainoa spent the morning making each other laugh, dancing in the grass, and walking on the beach. In the end, it was great Maui morning spent with two new friends.

Haily and Jordan's Kauai Wedding
Although we mainly photograph weddings on Oahu, we love to travel to different islands too! Photographing a destination wedding is always so much fun. A big part our lives is traveling so being able to give an amazing experience and capturing moments that are so new to our clients is such a great feeling. Haily and Jordan were such a fun and easy going couple to work with. They traveled with family and friends from Washington to our warm sun kissed beaches of Kaua’i. The island of Kaua’i is a very relaxed island which was perfect for their special day! This wedding came with a lot of “firsts”! When Haily and Jordan brought up that they wanted to have a morning wedding Reis and I instantly started writing down ideas (we were very excited). Even though a morning wedding calls for a 4 o’clock start time, the beautiful first look portraits at sunrise were so worth it! The dreamy Hawaiian sky granted us beautiful pink and blue pastels that made Haily and Jordans portraits absolutely breathtaking. Mahalo Haily and Jordan for being such a delightful couple to work with and for the opportunity to capture your beautiful Kaua’i wedding! Haily and Jordan’s wedding was a small wedding that truly focused on the priorities of the life: Family, Friends, and Each other. The wedding was simple, but so incredibly beautiful. After the breakfast Reception, Haily and Jordan’s family was so incredibly inviting to both Reis and I, they invited us and everyone else back to their condo for lunch and games. Their family is the sweetest family and did not hesitate to make us feel like a part of the family. The day was filled with laughs, good conversation, and good company! When it was time to say goodbye, we must have said goodbye at least 5 times and didn't leave until 40 minutes after our first goodbye. Andrew + Nicole's Underwater Engagement
Being an ocean lover, Reis has always been dreaming and hoping for an underwater portrait session...so when we linked up with Nicole and Andrew you could imagine how excited he was! Living in Hawaii, the ocean is a big part of our lives. It is a lifestyle. Nicole and Andrew have been living on the island of Oahu and were soon to be moving to California. Before they left they wanted photos that captured the beautiful blue waters they both spent a great deal of time in. Nicole and Andrew were such a fun couple to shoot in the water and such a joy to work with! They kept their spirits up when they felt like they looked silly and overall had a good time. It is so refreshing when our clients put in the effort to make their portraits unique; especially when we give them the same photos the envisioned! Amanda and AJ's Wedding at Malulani
While attending Kihei Charter High School, Amanda Werth was my math teacher for two years. She is easily one of my favorite teachers at the school as well as one of the best. So when she called me up to let me know that she had gotten engaged and wanted me to shoot their wedding, I could not have been anymore honored and excited.
AJ and Amanda are an incredible couple. Their personalities and goofiness are absolutely perfect for one another. When in their presence, it is impossible to not smile and happiness is simply contagious. Amanda and AJ are two of the nicest people that anyone would be lucky to meet.
Being able to work with AJ and Amanda’s family and friends was also a blessing. Everyone was so warm hearted. It was truly an honor to be a part of this special day!

Cindy + Jason at Loulou Palm Estate
Cindy and Jason traveled to Oahu from South Korea to walk down the aisle and say their vows. It was a beautiful day at the Loulu Palm Estate on the North Shore with blue skies and the salty breeze. The first time Bronte and I met the fun couple we knew it was going to be a great day and an enjoyable wedding to photograph. When Cindy and Jason described the kind of photos they were looking for, we were immediately excited and knew this was the right fit! Of course, their Hawai’i wedding would not be complete without a sunset portrait session on a nearby beach located on the estate! It was the first time Cindy and Jason were alone together the whole day and our goal is to always capture the intimate and sweet moments. After being splashed by a wave, the couple decided to take the opportunity to have fun and play in the small surf! It was so great and fun to work with Cindy and Jason on making their day as perfect as possible.
Celeste and Jacob are one of those couples that make you believe in true love, the everlasting kind. It was so touching how they looked into each other’s eyes and made one another smile, letting their emotions run free. Both Jacob and Celeste’s smiles were truly contagious.
